  • Landsports

Our athletics program is an important part of the daily schedule. Over the last decade, we have invested heavily in many new and unique state-of-the-art sports facilities. Campers are offered a well-rounded athletics program which combines instructional activities with in-camp tournaments and the occasional intercamp exchange. While some competition adds a healthy spice to athletics, we prefer to emphasize individual improvement, participation and achievement in sports.

  • Waterfront

The heart of any camp is its waterfront. At Pripstein's, we are fortunate to own 90% of the lakefront on Lake of 3 Brothers, thereby ensuring a private, safe and clean locale for our waterfront program. The Quebec Ministry of Environment has consistently rated our lake water as "Class A Excellent". There are no powerboats on our main lake, which greatly reduces the risk of boating accidents. Waterskiing, wake-boarding and knee-boarding, under the careful supervision of our instructors, takes place on our second lake, Lake St. Joseph. All campers are required to pass a camp swim test to qualify for the various boating activities. Campers are required to wear life-jackets or PFD's in any watercraft. Pripstein's owns over 60 watercraft, providing ample equipment for our extensive boating program.

The Mishmar Centre plays host to our end-of-session dance shows, drama productions and the famous Pripstein's sing-songs! Our future creative and performing artists can develop their skills in a variety of activities at camp:

  • Facilities

Pool

Our indoor, heated pool is used whenever the lake water is too cool for comfortable swim instruction, or when rainy weather forces cancellation of outdoor activities. Thanks to an excellent lighting system complete with emergency back-up, campers are also able to enjoy night-time pool parties & games.

Skydome

Our huge, 6,000 square-foot double gymnasium plays host to our basketball program. Designed with plexi-glass walls that highlight the beautiful mountain scenery, our Skydome features pro-style glass basketball backboards, electronic scoreboard, specially-designed adjustable-height backboards for younger campers, and a 63-foot tennis practice wall.

Thunderdome

The 19,000 square-foot Thunderdome is the largest, all-weather facility of its kind in North American camping. The Thunderdome encloses our new Mishmar Ice Palace, a high adventure rock-climbing centre, and the exciting in-line skate park.

...other indoor facilities include our Dance Hall, Arts & Crafts Centre, Games & Guitar Room, and of course, the Dining Hall.

  • Special Events

In addition to the regular camp activity schedule, we plan many section-wide and camp-wide special events throughout the summer. Such highlights as Super Bowl, Colour War, Maccabead, Amazing Race and various other theme days & competitions, add loads of spirit and enthusiasm to camp life. And of course, our renowned rock & roll Friday Night Sing-Songs in the Mishmar Centre are legendary among Pripstein campers, staff and alumni!
