Ice Hockey and Skating
The big excitement for 2008 is the construction of our new on-site ice hockey arena. Rather than busing campers for limited ice time available at the local municipal arena as we have in the past, having our own Mishmar Ice Palace will allow us to offer a 28-game hockey schedule to those campers wishing to participate. We will continue to run a combination of skill-improvement drills and tournaments. Another great new feature will be nightly disco-skating every evening after supper, a fun way to stay fit. Campers interested in ice hockey need to bring up full equipment. Those interested in simply skating will need skates and a helmet.
Our rink will be approximately 95% of the length of a typical Montreal park rink, perfect for 4-on-4 hockey. More details will follow in May regarding skate sharpening and equipment repairs.
